What a beautiful island!! Miles and miles of white sandy beaches outline this beautiful paradise. We spent 4 days here and I could have stayed much longer. We took a cruise to the southern Caribbean in the middle of our stay and although we saw many beautiful places this was among the most beautiful places residing in this part of the world. Below are some pictures of beaches on the western and southern parts of Barbados. We only spent time on 5 beaches but I would love to go back again for longer this time.
Treasure Beach

The 3 pictures above are of a beautiful 7 star villa hotel called One Sandy Lane. It just happened to be right by where we landed on this beach. It most likely has celebrity clients of the very rich who can afford around 20K per night.
Batts Beach Bay
This home right on the bay would have to be my dream home in this location. It is close the beach but not open to vacationers running through the sand of your front yard.
Folkstone Marine Reserve
We loved the snorkeling here and saw Caribbean fish and a lot of clear jelly fish with a brown spot on them that were harmless. There was some colorful coral. The waves were gentle and the atmosphere was beautiful for relaxing by the water.
Look at that white sand and Caribbean blue water.
My sweet granddaughter (They are all sweet actually) looks like a movie star in her beach hat.
Beach Fun
I saw more permanent play structures in the water here than any other place I have visited. For a fee the kids can enjoy playing at a park on the water.
Colorful Atmosphere
You are put in a happy mood as you drive through the tourist areas of Barbados where the bright colors greet you everywhere.
We have a rare last name (Hinkson) and so we were surprised when the gentleman who rented our rental car to us shared our last name. Evidently it is a popular name in Barbados
Pool at the house we rented
Miami Beach
A great mix of larger waves worthy of boogie boards and a small protected beach where the locals cool off after a busy day. This beach was also a beauty!
A freedom statue in the center of the island which is a completely different world. There are skyscrapers and malls and other big city offerings in the center of this island. We found reasonable shopping here. We bought a large tub of ice cream and made ice cream cones for all the family with us (12 in total) and saved a lot of cash over buying ice cream in the touristy areas. It pays to save money towards our next trip back here. Truly a once in a lifetime location to visit that I hope will not be just in my lifetime.
Pool at the Marriott Courtyard where we stayed on night 1.
Another ship in the port where we left from
