Vienna Austria

One of highlights of our time in Vienna Austria was a inspiring tour of the Schonbruun Palace.  The outside of the palace was especially beautiful with the gardens.  We visited in very early spring and so the gardens were not at their prime, but it was delightful to stroll through the grounds.

We traveled to Austria with our daughter Heather and her husband, Joe and their 2 children James and Alicen.  Also with us was our son, Devin who was a senior in High School.  James loved the pigeons in every city we saw from New York to Rome.  James and Ali may not remember their time in Europe, but we made unforgettable memories with their sweet faces along for the ride.

I didn't take many photos of they inside of the castle.  It was probably prohibited in most of the castle.  The pictures below were taken in the city of Vienna as we visited some areas of the city.

We drove into the city of Vienna at night and I was enchanted by the lighting on the buildings in the city.  They all seemed to look golden as we drove around looking for our hotel.  I would recommend a visit to this beautiful city.  It was charming, safe and we loved the history of this famous city.  We enjoyed eating strudel and schnitzel
and becoming Austrian for a time.
