San Juan Puerto Rico

We arrived at the port of San Juan aboard a Norwegian Cruise ship.  We took our 8 Children and traveled with my sister's family.  Our children have a fun time with their children and so we had a fabulous time exploring beautiful San Juan, Puerto Rico.

We saw a lot of cultural and artistic sites.  There are many Catholic churches in Puerto Rico with some beautiful features.  The kids especially enjoyed the abundance of pigeons.

One of our favorite places to see was an old fortress and lighthouse.  One of our daughters really loves lighthouses and so this was a fun location for her to experience.

We did a lot of walking and saw a lot in one day in San Juan.  I am sure there is much more to see if you have an extended time to spend. 

Because Puerto Rico is an official US commonwealth,, you do not need a passport to travel there if you are a US citizen.  With so many airlines offering flights there it is a great place for a rustic tropical get away.
