Many of the American Cruise lines have acquired their own private islands in the Bahamas. Great Stirrup Cay is owned by Norwegian Cruise lines and is a popular port for Bahama travelers.
One of the highlights of the island is the lighthouse that is an easy hike from the main beach. Our children love to explore the lighthouse.
The cruise ship anchors and the guest are transported to the island on a short tender boat ride. One of the advantages of the private island is that the beach chairs are provided by the ship and a lunch is available onshore and is included in the cruise fare and you can trust the food to be safe.

Hope to see you again soon, Great Stirrup Cay!
