This is a picture of the Auckland from the sea. We traveled to the city via cruise ship and had a great day exploring the area around Auckland. The city itself was clean and busy and friendly to tourists. |
We rented a car and drove to Hamilton New Zealand to see the Temple in Hamilton. Soon there will be another temple in Auckland. This allowed us to have some time to see the countryside, the sheep, and shop at a local store.
Many pictures shown of New Zealand that entice you to visit are taken on the South Island. The parts of the North Island that we saw, were nice but not a lot different than Kansas where I grew up plus a lot of sheep. If you love beautiful scenery, check out my post on Bay of Islands, New Zealand.
